Under 8 &10 Blitz v Bishopstown Camogie Club -Saturday, 30th October 2010 - This was the end of season event for the club and it was great to see so many of our Under 8 and Under 10 players head off to Cork from St Colums early on Saturday morning. We are also very grateful to the strong numbers of parents who travelled with us on the day.

In Bishopstown our Under 8's started off the proceedings and we were able to field two teams of seven who played simultaneously and they each played two matches per group. The girls played very stongly, gave a wonderful display of the skills they have mastered all year training and they really enjoyed this fun occasion. Of the four games played we won 3 and narrowly lost the final one.

Our Under 10's also fielded two teams and played between them four very competitive matches. They played very well and easily mastered the "zone game" eventhough they had very little previous experience of this Go Game match set up. They had a great mornings fun and came out winners in all their games to delight of their trainers and families.

This was a very special and enjoyable day for everyone who took part. It was topped off by a trip to McDonalds and a very boisterous journey home on the bus - it was great to see the girls end the season in such high spirits. We must thank Bishopstown Camogie Club and Janet O'Driscoll in particular, for their wonderful and gracious hospitality.
